  LalorNorthSecondaryCollegewasestablishedonthecurrentsiteinChildsRoadEppingin1978.ItislocatedintheresidentialareaofEppingborderingonMillParkintheNorthernsuburbsofMelbourne.Itisasinglecampus,Year7-12co-educationalschool.ThestructureofMiddleYearsProfessionalLearningTeamsatYears7,8and9andSeniorSchool(10-12)recognizesthatourstudentspassthroughdistinctdevelopmentalandlearningstages

  TheCollegehasamulticulturalstudentpopulationof600.Ourstudentsandtheirparentsrepresent44differentethnicbackgroundsandaredrawnfromover23feederprimaryschools.Weareanaccreditedproviderforinternationalstudents.OurcurrentinternationalstudentshailfromVietnamandIndia,theystudyatourCollegewhilstlivingwithfamilymembersinourlocalcommunity.Thereareseveralsecondarycollegesincloseproximity;MillPark,Epping,LalorandPeterLaloraswellastheCatholicsecondaryschool,StMonica’s.Theaverageclasssizeis22.Theschoolhas55teachersand25supportstaff.Thestaffprofileincludes3Principalclass,7LeadingTeachers,30ExpertTeachers,7AccomplishedTeachersand8Graduateteachers.LalorNorthSecondaryCollegehasanSFOdensityof.67andaLBOTEproportionof.42.WehaveahighEMAcomponentandahighproportionofnonEnglishspeakersathome.InresponsetotheneedsofitsdisadvantagedstudentsLNSCofferscomprehensiveLiteracy,NumeracyandEnglishasaSecondaryLanguagesupportprograms.The2006-2009StrategicPlanfocusesonimprovementsinliteracy,numeracy,engagement,behaviourandpathways.AKeyImprovementStrategyisdevelopingaperformanceanddevelopmentculturewithintheschoolwithafocusoncontinuousimprovementandachievingaccreditation.TheLNSCvisionis“InspireBelieveAchieve”whichpromotestheprinciplesofmeetingchallenges,workingtogetherandrespectingothers.
